Hey guys this is my blog!

I am so excited to be sharing that I’ve committed to the World race gap year! Over the course of nine months I will be traveling with my team to Cambodia, Thailand, South Africa, and Guatemala! I am so excited to see what God has in store for this season in my life and for my team. I will be using this to give updates over the course of my trip so you guys can follow along for the journey!

My first experience with missions was this during the past March. I had the opportunity to go on a mission trip with my school to Belize. I was so blessed from that trip and learned a lot. After that trip I knew that missions was something I wanted to further pursue after I graduated. I wasn’t sure what that would look like, but I knew a part of me was open to it, and I continued to search through that door. I came across the World race, and it has led me to this decision!

I think that when taking such a big step it’s hard to not be fearful of the unknown. But as I continued to think about this next step, it kept falling back on the why, and the answer to that is something the Lord has been teaching me. My life is not my own, and Christ has called us as believers to not live comfortably, rather to be light in the world because it needs it. I know that taking this step of chasing after Christ and spreading the love he has given me to others is something that is so rewarding and worth it! Through this nine month journey I will be working alongside experienced leaders to share the love of God and help meet the needs of the communities we serve. I am so blessed to be given this opportunity.

I am excited to see how the Lord will grow me through this trip and what he will teach me and my team. I can’t wait to make memories through this year, and I hope you  guys will follow along the journey with me!
